Sharp edges will create Sha Qi and they are not good for the occupants as well as your neighbors.

My question yesterday might be not explained very well.  I am thinking to change roofing. We are going to use shingles, instead of ceramic tiles. There are two kind of layouts for shinges from the manufacturer. One looks like waves (or saws) after each shinge lines up together in the whole roof (see the picture 1). The other style layout is more normal just like how the ceramic tiles are usually layout (see the picture 2). These pictures are not representing my house but the catalog pictures from the manufacturer just for your reference on the layout of shingles. Not for how the edge of roof looks like.

My question is do you think the picture 1 (shingle layout 1) is ok in terms of FS. We like it more unique layout than one directional layout (picture 2). However, if the layout 1 is not good, we will rather choose layout 2 (like a traditional style).

By just looking at what you have provided, the traditional one is better.
