If i have the commanding star in my paht chee reading. my self element is fire and the element in hour pillar is water element.

would it change from an auspicious star to an unfavourable star?

do we need to further assess and take into consideration that my self element is Strong Fire therefore having water element in the hour pillar

is favourable instead of unfavourable?

You need to further access the whole chart in order to detemenien your useful gods or favorable stars. You just cannot based on your daymaster and hour pillar for confirmation.
