FengShui - Bedroom Dos and Don'ts

According to Feng Shui, if you position your bed in a certain location according with your BaZi Four Pillars of Destiny, you will have various advantages. For example, you can place your bed either at
East, South East, West, North West or South West for best results. West: When you face your bed west, you create the best conditions for a good night's sleep.
Location is used here and not direction as each house has its own luck, thus location is much more important than personal direction and also husband and wife are very likely to have different auspicious facing directions.
Dos
- The ideal place to position a bed is usually considered to be right at the centre of the longest wall in the room where you have the most view of your room.
- Position your bed centrally and out of line from the bedroom door.
- Limit electronic devices.
- Your bed has a bedside table on either side.
- Get a supportive headboard.
A headboard provides support in marriage.
Always with a solid surface behind you with more energetically supportive.
- The head of bed should be placed against a wall.
- Minimize your stuff avoids too many clutter.
- Choose artwork strategically - artwork that allows peace and calm or with romantic scenes
- Pick the right color and lighting scheme which have soft lights and provide a Yin environment. The bedroom should be a relaxing for restoration, refreshment and intimacy and to promote rest and sleep.
Soft ambient lighting options set a mood for romance.
- Circular nightstands.
Don'ts
- Positioning your bed in line with the door can be the worst possible position, according to the principles of Feng shui.
People who practice Feng shui call it the 'dead man's position' or the 'coffin position' because the feet or head face the door and resemble how we carry the dead through open doors from the house.
- Door opening too near to your head.
- Too many electronic devices.
- Have a Yang environment that is disruptive to rest and sleep.
- Empty space between head of bed and the wall.
- Placing bed under a beam.
- Head of bed under large window.
- Head on the facing toilet or kitchen.
- Head of your bed shares a wall that has a toilet bowl on the other side.
- Irregular shaped headboards e.g. steps, ripple etc.
- Mirror, mirror on the wall facing bed or above bed.
If you have a mirror in your bedroom, do not place it directly across facing your bed, or over your bed.
In Feng Shui, this signals an invitation for "Tao Hua 桃花" a third party to come into the relationship, and may result in infidelity.
- Bed positioned directly above your stove.
- Bedside against the wall.
Avoid the act of climbing over your partner to get out of bed which can be annoying.
The flow of Qi is also abrupted.
- Couple - Artwork with groupings of three, like three people or three animals, which can bring the thought of a third party into the relationship.
- Single - and looking for a partner, avoid any artwork containing solo figures.
- Overhead light.
- Door faces your head.
- Door faces windows.
- If you have square-shaped or rectangular-shaped nightstands, they need to be lower than your mattress, to prevent the corners of the nightstands creating ‘poison arrows’ that are directed towards the bed.
These “poison arrows” disrupt the Qi flow by generating negative energy that can cause illnesses and financial losses.
You also need to stand in front of your window to see if there are any intimidating structure pointing straight at you.
