In order to prosper you need Vibrant Qi. The only way you can get it is by using the following 4 steps. “Seizing vibrant Qi from your environment” is a poetic yet deeply rooted concept in Chinese metaphysics - especially in Feng Shui, BaZi, and Qi Men Dun Jia practices. In simpler terms, it means aligning yourself with the natural energetic flow of your surroundings to enhance your luck, health, and success. "Seizing vibrant Qi" is about harnessing the flow of energy in your environment to enhance your life and well-being. Qi is the unseen energy that flows through everything—like air, but more subtle—and Feng Shui is all about arranging your surroundings in ways that promote the free and positive flow of this energy. When we talk about "seizing" vibrant Qi, we referring to actively inviting this positive energy into your home, office, or life and ensuring it stays vibrant, abundant, and harmonious. Feng Shui works by adjusting the environment to allow Qi to flow freely without stagnation or blockages. Here’s what that really means and how to do it: What is “Vibrant Qi” (生气 / Sheng Qi)?Qi (气): Life force or energy that flows through everything—people, places, time. Vibrant Qi (生气): Active, positive, life-enhancing energy. It brings growth, opportunity, and vitality. How to “Seize” Vibrant Qi From the EnvironmentThis means learning to recognize, align with, and make use of powerful energy in both time and space. These include the following. 1. Select Auspicious Dates (Seizing Time Qi)Using methods like the 12 Day Officers, Tong Shu, or Qi Men Dun Jia, you choose times when natural cosmic energy is at its peak or harmonious with your personal energy. Why it matters: Doing important things (like getting married, starting a business, moving, or launching a project) on a "Qi-rich" day boosts your chances of success. But remember these days need to be aligned and support your BaZi.2. Tap into Feng Shui (Seizing Spatial Qi)Feng Shui helps you align with the flow of Qi in your home, office, or environment. Key ways to seize spatial Qi include the following1. Face or sit in the direction of a favorable Qi flow (determined by compass directions and flying stars), 2. Position your bed, desk, or stove in areas of vibrant Qi (such as Sheng Qi or Tian Yi sectors) and 3. Avoid Sha Qi (killing energy) such as sharp corners, clutter, or facing negative directions Check your house luck where your period and facing (time and space) are very important. You can use our free Feng Shui Calculator to check your house Feng Shui. Certain facing houses have better vibrant or Sheng Qi. 3. Position Yourself Where Qi Is StrongestIn nature or architecture in general stronger Qi, be near flowing water (Qi carrier), face open space, not walls, work or rest in bright, airy, elevated places and avoid low, damp, or dark areas. In modern terms, this could be choosing a workspace near a window with light and movement and living in a neighborhood with good air flow, healthy greenery, and vibrant activity (not too stagnant or noisy) that you feel comfortable.Work around your home and office. Here are a few ways to “seize” vibrant Qi in Feng Shui: 1. Declutter: Stagnant Qi often comes from clutter, which can block the flow of positive energy. Keeping spaces clear of unnecessary items allows Qi to flow smoothly through your home or workspace. 2. Positioning Furniture: The placement of furniture is key. For example, placing your desk or bed in the “command position” (facing the door but not directly in line with it) allows you to harness more control over your environment and receive energy from the space around you. 3. Incorporating Elements: Feng Shui is based on the five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—and using them in the right balance can "seize" vibrant Qi. For instance, bringing in plants (wood), using candles (fire), adding stone or ceramics (earth), incorporating metallic items (metal), and flowing water features (water) can all enhance the energy in a space. 4. Maximizing Light and Air: Natural light and good airflow bring in fresh Qi. Open windows, add mirrors to reflect light, and use light curtains to let the sun's energy in. Fresh air can also revitalize energy—think of having plants that purify the air or even an air purifier. 5. Color and Shape: The colors in your environment affect the type of Qi that flows. For example, blues and greens represent calmness and healing, while reds and oranges are energizing. Also, pay attention to the shapes of your furniture—round or soft edges promote smooth Qi flow, while sharp angles may lead to aggressive or stagnant energy. 6. Enhance the Bagua Map: In Feng Shui, the Bagua map divides your space into nine areas, each corresponding to aspects of life (wealth, health, love, etc.). Activating the right areas with objects or symbols associated with each area can help "seize" the Qi you want in your life. What I referring here is your house luck and not personal include your personal Kua. 7. Water Features: Water is the flow of life, and in Feng Shui, it symbolizes abundance. A small fountain or even a water bowl can activate prosperity and positive energy. But this need to be careful as wrongly placed can backfire. 4. Personalize with BaZi (Your Destiny Chart)Your BaZi chart shows your own Qi blueprint. You can align your actions and environments with elements or directions that strengthen your personal energy. For example: If your BaZi lacks Fire, you can benefit from Fire-related directions (South), colors (red), times (noon), or environments (warm, active) and a date that enhances your favorable element is one that helps you seize Qi personally.
