Can you possible tell me where should I put my praying altar for Kuan Yin?

Some said facing the door, not next to toilet and so on? I asked one master and he told me to move the altar to second floor facing the back of the house!!!

I need to figure out this fast as I am moving in soon.

Praying altar is prefer to be at the auspicious bright places. The first choice will be facing the main door, facing the windows, inside a room facing the door or facing the windows. This is basically out of respect and praying is a form of religion believe and have nothing to do with feng shui.
