Lucky bamboos in soil for celebration

train hoho2 28/6/2009
Dear Master Peter,

I have no experience to grow bamboos in soil. I see a lot of them selling in water. I personally thought the bamboo only can survive in water. You must have a lot of experiences growing lucky bamboos in the soil. I would like to ask your some questions. I have grown 4 bamboo stalks with soil in a pot since 3 weeks ago. Lately, I found out one of the stalks is turned into yellow color but the leaves are still green.
1. Is that yellow stalk still alive? Is it too dry? What should I do to make it green again?
2. If it is yellow stalk, is it good to displace (or enhance) for celebration?

Thanks and regards,

Train hoho2
