windchimes (Feng Shui) |

Hi Master Peter, I have heard too many windows in a house are not good. Some books said we can solve the problem by hanging the windchime on the windows. Is that correct? I know windchime can weaken earth #5 and #2 bad qi. What else purpose can a windchime do except reducing qi of #5 and #2? Thanks and best regards Julia |

Hi Julia, Yes, indeed, this is a popular belief that one's home should not have too many `holes'. The frontage of the house should have windows and main door in the right proportion i.e. the windows should not be extremely large or out of proportion. If the main door has sliding glass panels, avoid opening all the panels. If your house have both sliding panels and main door. Try avoid opening the sliding panels and the main door at the same time if you can. This is not hard to understand. Using commonsense, it is best to avoid having too many windows. This is to avoid, an unsecured home e.g. attractive to a `burglar' especially if the house is a corner house or there is a forest or construction site behind the house.
Cheers.
