determine which is animal year (Feng Shui) |
train hoho2 | 28/1/2011 |
Dear Master Peter, I have asked for a chart to look at in previous question email. Here I will make it more clear. Hopefully, you can understand. When a person was born before Chinese New Year but was in a New Calendar Year (Western Calendar), which year should be the animal year being used in terms of Feng Shui application? The Lunar Calendar year or the New Western Calendar year? For example, she was born in 1966 in terms of Western Calendar but was right before Chinese New Year of 1966 which is Lunar 1965. Meaning she was born in 1996 in terms of Western Calendar year but would be born still in 1965 in terms of Lunar Calendar as she wasn't born before Chinese New Year of 1966. Does she belong to 1966 animal year or 1965 animal year when we use for Tai Sui purpose and Fen Shui etc. Thanks. Julia

You have to use "Ten Thousand Year Calendar" and use "Li Chun" as the start of the new year. And not using the first day of Chinese New Year. Many are confused with this. All Bazi reading is based on "Li Chun" as the starting point. Cheers, Peter |

Dear Master Peter, Thanks for your reply. I can't realy find out what is "Li Chun" in Chinese after searching internet. If possible, can you translante "Li Chun" in Chinese and type in Chinese back to me? I can read Chinese without no problem. Where can we find the Li Chun to check which animal year people were born.? I think "Ten Thousand Year Calendar" is ???. Am I right? Thanks. Train hoho2

"Li Chun" is 立春 when the spring begins and the "Ten Thousand Years Calendar" is 萬年曆 a must have calendar. Cheers, Peter |
