Can Feng Shui be carried out without using a Luo Pan?

The purpose of Luo Pan is to get the sitting and facing of your house. As long as you manage to get the reading you can do Feng Shui. An accurate compass serves the same purpose. But no matter which one you use you must find out the sitting and facing.

It sound simple right? But in many occasions a lot of students find it hard to determine the facing especially for those odd sharp houses and those with more than one doors. It all come from experience.
