Does every window need to be covered with curtain or it is ok to left the windows without curtains?

There are 3 areas:

1. Storage room
2. Empty living room (located at 2nd floor)
3. Window and sliding glass door next to toilet

Not the type of area but the locations or the sectors where your windows are located. These are different for each house. I will not go into details.
