Hi Peter, 

I bought your 2016 Flying Star recommendations but confused by a few things.

I live in a building of flats of which that main building door faces West but my appartment door faces North. Which do I use for the recommendations?

There is a section on the position of sitting door but don't understand how to calculate this. It says it is for the location of the main door (again whole building or specifc flat door?) and not the facing. I think if we use building door then sitting could be East because it is at my back and flat door would be South West because it is at my back with compass calculation. Which is correct to follow the guidance?

You mentionned doing spring claenign on Thursday 28th January during office hours. I am not at hoem at these times, woudl there be a second best date after 20PM or weekend that you can propose to do this?

Take the facing of your unit's main door and not the facing of building main door.

You can use

1. Thursday, 28 Jan 2016 from 11am to 12:59pm and from 3pm to 4:59 pm. Conflicting zodiac sign –
Rabbit

or

2. Tuesday, 2 Feb 2016 from 7am to 10:59am and from 5pm to 10:59pm. Conflicting zodiac sign – Monkey

Monkey hour branch is alright.

Position or the location of your door is against your unit and does not affect by the facing of your unit's main door.

The above are based on the location of your unit's main door and not the facing of your main door. Your main door can be facing South but your door can be located in your South or South East or South West.

I am still confised about sitting door location. I quote your guide:

East sitting door

Here we use the location of your main door and not the facing of your main door. For example, your door can be facing East but can be located in the South East, East or North East. Here we use the location with your door lie ie: SE, E or NE."

How do I position my body in respect of the sitting location to find it? or the main door? My actual apartment door faces North that is when I have my back to that door and point the compass, it shows North. If I turn around from that spot and hold the compass, it shows South West, is that the sitting location?

Maybe this will be more meaningful.

East sitting door = Door located at your East sector.

It does not matter what direction that your door face.

Another thing is when we need to place a glass of water at the West fr whatever door direction. I already have a picture hanging there of a Caribean beach with a gentle wave coming in the flat. I feel it might be sufficient or do I still need to also add a glass of water?

Water release Qi but your picture does not. You still need the water.
