How bad if Hurting Officer (Shang Guan) and Direct Officer both are in the same hidden stems, compare to when they both appear at the Heavenly Stems but different pillar ?

Eg : Gui Day Master born in Yin Year. Inside Yin are Jia Wood (HO), Wu (DO) and Bing (DW).

However,you must based on the entire bazi to see if this will bring bad effects. You can't based on two pillars or just the hidden stems to confirm it bring bad effect.

It will be fine, if you have "Wealth" forming a bridge (通关用神) between "Hurting Officer" and "Direct officer" ("Hurting Officer" produces "Wealth" and wealth" produces "Direct officer").

Exactly likes the example that your have provided,

Yin year with hidden stems

Jia - Hurting officer
Bing - wealth
Wu - direct officer.

You also have the see the condition for both of them. Both are very strong, one is strong & the other is weak and etc. You also must be careful when decade or year pillars combined and take away the "wealth" stars.
