TaYun stem 5 years and branch 5 years (BaZi)

Cheong 28/10/2017

Dear Master,

I always have this question about TaYun 大运. Some said that the stem governs the first 5 years and branch governs the remaining 5 years. It this true and the yearly stem governs the first 6 months, yearly branch governs the next 6 months.  I asked this question because it seems not the case for me. It this true.

Thank you for your clarification.

Cheong

This is very wrong and it will never be the case. Sometimes it seems to work this way because coincidentally your Useful Ten Gods 十神 are strong in the first 5 years and being suppressed in the following 5 years. First 5 years or first half of the year or not, it always have to do with the interactions among your Ten Gods 十神, their elements and palaces.

Cheers.
