I recently got a BaZi reading from a feng shui / fortune telling hobbyist and it wasnt so good.. I was told a weak career / finance and my marriage is full of problems. Also that I would be dependent on the woman, and prone to violence because of a heavy element. It is depressing to hear this - is there anything I can do?

Do not worry too much. I had seen worst yours are alright. Career got ups and downs but overall should be fine.  In relationship or marriage you need to control your stubbornnes and learn to communicate with her.
