 Hi Master,

I am planning to move in new home which I am the first tenant. I need your advice how to cleanse a home before moving in.

Plse provide me some tips on home cleasing, a simple cleasing method is enough.  Thanks.

There is the rice and salt ritual which is done a couple of days prior to the move in date. Before you begin the process, mix a packet of rice with a packet of salt. Make sure you have a sufficient amount of the mixture for the size of your house.

Follow these steps.

  1. Move around the perimeter of the house in a clockwise direction and sprinkle a mixture of raw rice grains and raw sea salt. Throw the mixture at the base of the wall and as you do so, remind yourself that “rice is offered to mother earth and salt cleanses the space of all negative, bad and hostile energies”.
  2. After going around the outside of the house, do the inside of the house, from room to room and moving in a clockwise direction around the room. Throw the rice and salt mixture on the floor and at the base of the walls.
  3. At the front door, throw three handfuls from the inside outward and then throw three handfuls from the outside inward.
  4. When you have finished, leave the rice and salt until the next day before cleaning them away. Do not use a broom to sweep-use a vacuum cleaner instead .The act of sweeping negates what you have done.

 Cheers.
