Master,

I am new to Feng Shui, and am a little confused about how to work with a sector of the house while it is also affected by a negative flying star.

As an example: I have just done the full lay out of my house, and while the house has the Heavenly Doctor (health and wealth enhancer) in my NW sector, it also has the #7 bad star there this year.

The reading from this site says to put a large leaf plant in the Heavenly Doctor sector to collect wealth.  I would love to enhance this area, but am worried that if I do, it will enhance the bad star instead. So my question really is: how do you work with Feng Shui in a situation like this., where you have something good and a bad star or Three Killings, or General Tai Sui in the area.

I have ordered the blue elephant and rhino, to cure the # 7 star, now can I put the plant in this area, or shall I leave it alone until next year when it is not affected by this star?

8 mansions and flying stars are two different theory. Some time it can coexist and some time it caanot. It will depend on what you want. For example if Tiam Yi at your South East sector, South East is wood, and 2012 star #5 arrive at South East. You can than put metal + water + plant . 

In general for #7 you just need a cup of water.
