Dear Master Peter,

Need your clarification on the following matters:

Is it true that there is a short cut to change period 7 condo unit to period 8 by just repainting the ceiling;scrubbing and cleaning the main door and putting a new rug on part of the living room?

I understand from some article that period 7  apartment will automatically change to period 8 in due time without doing any renovation works.

The above changes will not changes the period. Without doing anything, a particular property will remain the same period. This is what we called  old houses in term of feng shui. In China there are many old houses which occupied by a few generations.
