water feature on the right side of front door

Dear Master Peter,
I read one Master's book. She said no any water feature can be on the right side of front entrance looking out (from inside of the house looking out) because water will cause affair on male side. When I open the front door (from outside the house), it leads to a very open wide living room directly. We can see the living room immediately. There is no hallway leading to the living room after open the front door but a tiny porch next the living room that we can leaving shoes there. I plant bamboo in the water on the south grid of our house where also belongs to part of living room. If I stand beyond porch inside of the house looking out front door (in SE grid), the plant in south grid is about 3 feet away porch on the right. My questions are:
1. Is that true that water feature should be on the right of front door (looking out from inside the house)?
2.In terms of my house structure as described as above, is where the bamboo in water located seen as on the right side of front door looking out?
3. If point one is right, should I move the bamboo in the water? In July, the monthly star needs a glass of water in the south to be controlled. Can I still place a glass of water in the south grid where I put the bamboo plant right now?

Everytime anyone asked me this question, they sure get scolded by me. In Feng Shui, if you heard of a specific area (left , right, up down etc) for whatever and last forever that you better be cautious. Feng Shui changes with time.

This is old folks' tales that seems to last forever. The only time water cause marital problems are when it activate the Peach Blossom star at your home. But this star an be anywhere and not at the right hand side.

This is definitely TOTALLY FALSE. There were never mentions of this in the Feng Shui texts or classical books. Is definitely made up.

Dear Master Peter,

Thanks for your clarification.
When I was interested in FS a few months ago, I didn't have any resource and didn't know where to start. There was a English version of old FS book in the house. I read from that book. I am very happy I can know about FS through online resources such as skillon.com. It is very easy and cheaper for people all over the world to reach.

Regarding peach blossom star, what is its number? And where the star will fall at when? Please advise.
