Hello Master,
A road bump is located right in front of my house. I can see the side of the bump. It’s bad in feng shui.
The sound of cars going over the bump can be quite disturbing at times.
I am a bit concerned.

A road bump (speed bump) directly in front of your house has a nuanced interpretation in Feng Shui, and whether it’s good or bad depends on several factors, including its exact position, elevation, and energy flow direction.
My general Feng Shui view on road bumps.
Potential Negative Effects: 1.Qi Disruption:
A bump can cause Qi (energy) to rise and break, disrupting its smooth flow into your home.
2.Symbolic Blockage:
In symbolic Feng Shui, a bump may represent obstacles in your life path, especially if directly in line with your main door.
3.Health & Stability:
May create a sense of instability, especially affecting health, focus, or emotional balance.
When it’s Not a Problem (or can be Slightly Beneficial):
The bump is off to the side, not directly aligned with your door — less impact.
The bump slows down traffic, reducing Sha Qi (rushing energy) — this is a plus in busy roads.
The house sits on a gentle elevation (not at a low spot where energy gets trapped or “bounced off”).
Since you said: "I can see the side of the bump." This implies the bump is not directly in line with the main door, which reduces negative impact significantly.
As you have mentioned. the sound can be quite disturbing at times. Repeated bumping sound or vibrations can cause stress over time.
Feng Shui Tips 1. If you're concerned, consider soft landscaping (plants, pots, a water feature) in front of the door to stabilize and absorb external Qi.
2. A Ba Gua mirror might help in certain cases — but only if professionally recommended.
Warmest regards,
Peter
